Two letters came to the house about two routes that we would be on for the week of November 1, 2010.
On the morning of 11/1, neither of those, nor the bus we had been on for 3 weeks prior, had our child on their roster. I checked with the company and two of the escorts whose numbers I had.
Father had to take child to school on 11/1. During that day, called bus company, school, and OPT. Apparently all children on that route had no way to get to school that day.
OPT arranged ride home on bus from pre-October 4, but called the wrong parent to tell about it. Other parent almost went to school in which case would have missed child leaving.
Bus garage also told me that for new route starting Wednesday, child will be pickup number five. Agreed with my plan to be downstairs 7:15.
On the morning of 11/3, the bus escort called at 6:42 to say child was pickup number one. Changed plan about letting child sleep till 6:45. On learning about changes in route, child broke down crying and fake coughing. Missed bus. Stayed home all day, playing school.
