Tuesday Sept 30 at 1:00 PM City Council Hearing on Oversight: Language Access in New York City Public Schools ***relocated*** to Hearing Room 1 on the 8th floor at 250 Broadway, New York, NY 10007 and via Zoom web conference,

School busing activists can comment on the difficulties with finding someone to talk to about bus problems in the home language (even Spanish!!) at the $6.7 million a year OPT call center; on the fact that the bus emergency contact card is only given out when the bus team is unionized and knows better whereas other vendors and subcontractors don’t do it and the schools website does not contain a pdf of the translated side, and OPT refuses to mail them home. ETCETERA !

If you plan on testifying in-person or via Zoom, please register in advance of the hearing at https://council.nyc.gov/testify.
